About Kate Reust, LMP/CRM My name is Kate Reust and I am the owner and developer of Crysalis Touch & Wellness as well Heart Touched Bodyworks.
I created Crysalis Touch in response to the question from one of my clients -- "what do you call what you do?". They were serious. At about 70 years of age, and having grown up in China, they had not experienced the complexity of move, energy and touch that I bring to my work and wanted to know what I called my creation as it was obviously like nothing they had experienced over their lifetime. Thus the name Crysalis was born -- and like my totem -- Reminds me to Step Lightly with Healing Focus (yes dragonfly is one of my totems) -- as it counter points one of my protector totem of Grizzly. :) Go figure. You'll "get it" when you meet me I guess. I have over 40 years in the healing arts and nearly 20 years as a licensed body worker. I am a graduate of the Brenneke School of Massage in Seattle with follow on studies in multiple areas of holistic health and bodywork including intraOral therapy. Deep tissue treatment and the use of intraOral work for the treatment of migraines, TMJ, whiplash and other cervo-thorasic issues is my key focus. I am also highly skilled in other areas of pain mitigation and treatment for various types of issues. From weekend warriors to sports injuries and beyond. I've been told by friends for a long time that what I do is "woowoo" as the depth and clarity often startles them with which I can tell what is happening both under my hands and in often remote but related areas of the body. Often what I see in the body now leads me to ask about injuries, surgeries or accidents which happened years in the past. This is why I ask you to be clear at the start about surgeries and other body trauma's. Each has an impact on the fluid dynamics of the body and how we respond in the now. |
